Ups and downs are a part of lifeAnd every achievement smells sweet
But bitter is the taste of loss
And ugly is the face of defeat...
Some work hard with an aim
To succeed, exceed and attain
Much wealth prosperity and fame
Living life at their terms...
But some get lost,
In this vicious circle of lifeGet bogged down by troubles,
Lose their line of sight
Fumbling in the dark,
They look for a light
Often seeking solace,
In the wrong direction
Puffing away to ease their pain,
Drinking and dreaming hoping to drain
Their problems, their plight, and seek respiteFrom irksome issues of their everyday life
Is that the solution?
Is that the cure?
Does it make their lives,
Any better than before?
And in the end remains
A high roof top...
For some a ceiling fan,
For the ‘brave’ ones- the knife...
They frequently forget that life
Is God’s greatest gift to us
Given to treasure and preserve
Not to end with such ease....-Mystery Mind

You surprised me this time mystery mind 07, very well written poem and honestly quite intense. Bravo! It's very true that in today's society there's prevalence of so much emotional instability that people succumb to their despair in unreasonable ways. Therefore it's very important to find a way to be thankful for all the troubles and setbacks we face in life and embrace life as it is. It's these disappointments that teach us how to improve and grow, and look forward to new beginnings where they can be turned into blessings.

@Anju: Finely said masi! Its always essential to have a positive outlook in life. This doesn't mean that we should ignore the negative aspects of life. We should be aware of them so that we can tackle them. Every mistake we make should be like a stepping stone and a lesson learnt. This is what makes a person grow. And with the blessings of God, there's no limit to what a person can achieve!
